The national consultation process is being carried out to facilitate sharing of experiences and perspective building. National consultations ensure that rural women’s voices and various strategies of resistance on the ground are heard and represented. Discussions and recommendations culled from the national processes are echoed at the regional consultation and will be reflected at the Asian Rural Women’s Conference in 2008.
